Import Regulation
Pursuant to law, the IRD regulates importation and issues Certificate of Authority to Import (CAI) to the following programs:
Executive Order 156, Series of 2002
- used motor vehicles
- used engines and parts for all motor vehicles for replacement
DTI Department Administrative Order No. 08, Series of 2003
- used completely knocked-down (CKD) parts and components for rebuilding
Letter of Instruction No. 1307, Series of 1983
- Importations of government agencies including local government units (LGUs) and government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs)
E.O. No. 443
- used motor vehicles for donation to LGUs
Accreditation
Another function of the division is the issuance of Accreditation of truck rebuilding centers within the National Capital Region (NCR) pursuant to Department Administrative Order No. 08, Series of 2003.
